What's on the back of the Ute today?

You never can tell what Kristen is going to come home with. Like the time he came home with these guys or this. Yesterday was another, "What the...??" moment.
Now none of these fantastic instruments is in working order, sadly, but don't you think they would make fantastic props etc ? There is something so romantic about string instruments, I think, and the work in them is incredible. They are so beautiful.
Also on a family note...someone very special is having a birthday today. She doesn't like to comment but I know she is out there, lurking, ha. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE HOONEY ( no that's not her real name just what I used to call her cause I like to rhyme ha)... LOVE Kath xxx
Also don't forget, if you haven't already, to leave a comment on last Sunday's post to enter my little give away. Winner is drawn this coming Sunday.

  1. Holy viola! Wow Katherine - what a unique haul. Can definitely see them used as props! Had a laugh checking out the terminator. Those old horses were fantastic too. Hope you're enjoying the cool change today. x

  2. Hi Katherine, there is a violin/strings restorer in Logan Road, Woolloongabba who may be interested in this haul! His name is Ilja Grawert and he does beautiful restorations on instruments that look like their days were over long ago. If you're interested, his number is 1800 882468. All the best, Fiona

  4. Is that a black spray painted casala chair I see strapped on the back of the ute? The string instruments would make a great display if they are beyond repair. Oh and best wishes to your mate Julie. xx

  7. Aren't they great! I agree, they are lovely display items in a house, working or not - in some homes it is probably better if they don't work!

  10. I always imagine instruments or funny items like that are used by props people who need them for plays and what not.

I wonder where they'll all end up?
