It's Complicated...

Yesterday I met a lovely, very elderly ,couple who reminded me of the plot of the movie "it's Complicated". Have you seen it ? If you haven't I won't spoil it, but it is about a divorced couple, who years after their divorce, reconnect and the complications follow. It stars three of my favourites, Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin.
It is also a Nancy Meyers movie, so if you love a good Martha Stewarty, Hamptony, high end and totally drool worthy set...you will adore the background of this movie just as much as the story.
Every time I watch it I say...."That vegetable garden is insane!" because of course I totally want that vegetable garden but know it can only ever exist in this movie or Martha Stewart's back yard. But I digress. The reason the couple made me think of this movie is that after being married in the 1950's, divorcing in the 1970's, they are remarrying, this coming Saturday. They reconnected recently and discovered that all the problems that caused them to divorce were gone, and what remained was the two people who had fallen in love all those years ago. They held hands the whole time I was with them and their daughter....it was very sweet. But what did I get you ask?? Well, not a great deal but below is some of my favourites.

Canadian (Yes Deb, Canadian) Ice Skates
Leather suitcase, still with keys and in lovely condition.
Leather hat box. Below is the interior.

1960's handbag. I love these.

Pair of Bull dogs.
I love their pudgy bodies and squashy faces.

Pair of lamps in a nice orangey colour.

The shades are still good.
Apple ice Bucket. These are getting harder to find and this one is in such wonderful condition, still bright and shiny and no dints...yey.

But my favourite, I know some of you will have already spied.....
ATOMIC COFFEE MAKER. I haven't had one of these for ages. I was only thinking about this fact recently when a friend and fellow blogger ( Hi Jo) purchased a similar sort of maker. Funny how that happens, you think about something....and then you find it.

And now because I know you want to see it and I always enjoy it, the movie trailer.
