Doctor's Cabinet finds a new home...sort of...

You may remember not long ago Kristen came home with a wonderful old doctor's cabinet which I instantly fell deeply in love with. You can read about it here Well despite my professed love Kristen thought otherwise...in fact the conversation went something like...
Katherine: "OMG don't you think that would look fantastic in the Bathroom ?"
Kristen:"We are not putting that piece of s*** in the house."
So I had to find a new home for my beloved and despite many tempting offers from valued customers to purchase him(the cabinet) I was not ready to let go of him just yet so I have found a new home at the WAC for those little items or high value items to be displayed.

Yesterday I gave him a good clean and scrub and I have left the original paint work in all its chippy glory. I really thinks it looks great next to the shiny chrome handle, lock and hinges. His entrance created a bit of a stir at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre where thankfully people appreciate fine industrial chic...I even think Kristen was heard to say "It looks really good."
Next job....cleaning all the treasures to fill him up.

  1. I'll have to go and check "him" out. I showed Jason the cabinet after you first wrote about it - he said it would be perfect...after a coat of paint. Needless to say I steered him away from committing such a sin!!

  3. You do not know how much I had to restrain myself from having to beg you to sell it to me. Yes I too will have to make a pilgrimage just to stroke him.

  5. I'm totally amused by Kirsten's comment considering that your business is passing that stuff on to others lol.
