Treasures from Yesterday's estate and Today's old home.

Today I visited a lovely elderley gentleman and his wife who are hoping to relocate to Rockhampton in the new year. They have so far had 65 happy married years together. I purchased these split cane chairs and table. I thought they were such great colours and had the perfect amount of wear to give them that shabby beach look.
Nice paint details, I like the two tone paint,

and multiple colours on the table legs.
I also get these fun pin wheel cushions. I am always drawn to the pin wheel shape.
Note the work to the edge. I also got a lot of table cloths and fabric.
Yesterday Kristen went to a home in Manly. The items above were my favourites in the bric a brac. I love Willow pattern enamel. The house was located only a street away from where we lived when our boys were babies. So I would have walked passed the house almost every day.

He also got these wonderful old hand tools. Old tools used to be made with as much care as the furniture and items they were designed to create.

And such a large number of sharpening stones compared to the tools they had to sharpen.
Wonderful old levels. The front one has a sight and is a surveyors level.
Look at this tool. If you didn't know you may think it looks incomplete.

But it is just hiding its attachments inside itself.

Very tricky, but a beautiful little item. To contact please email boathome@bigpond.net.au
