As You Like it....Yes I Do ~ New Farm Nash Theatre

This is my apothecarist (pharmacist) John. By day he is, as pictured, a serious and hard working man helping the people of East Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs to keep their families healthy....but
by night he transforms as he walks the boards as one of the stars of the New Farm Nash Theatre Company. Yes this is the same man!! Here he is playing the role of Le Beau, in the companies' current production of Shakespeare's "As you Like it".

I admire amateur theatrics so much. The cast and crew give so much of themselves and their time for no other reward then the pleasure they receive in doing so and the pleasure they give to their audiences.  Nan and I have had the joy of seeing several of the Nash Theatre's productions and we always love them. We particularly like seeing the many regular players transform themselves in the different roles they play from production to production.
The current production is directed by June A Balfour and Nigel Munro-Wallis. They have moved the setting of the play to Brisbane City and country  surrounds and it works so well. All the individual performances were fantastic and it was particularly well cast I thought.
You are not too late to see it there is performances on May 20, 21,26, 27,28 at 7.30 pm and a 2pm Matinee on May 22.
