Some of the NEW, old, Treasures at theoldboathouse at the WAC

Yesterday I had a restock of the bric a brac at my spaces in The Woolloongabba Antique Centre. I am always amazed how I can take over boxes of goodies and it just gets gobbled up and you wouldn't think I had been there at all.
This wonderful Art Deco yacht was very hard to part with. It is in excellent condition and the chrome is so shiny.
Notice the delicate details, the anchor and life ring....sigh!
Diana Greyhound figures.
Soda Syphons
Fabulous RETRO anodised blue ice, wine or champagne bucket in such wonderful condition.
Carpet bowls for a bit of vintage indoor, winter evening, fun.
Large West German Vase...I know what you are thinking...Yes, sadly, when this one came in it just didn't go with my collection so I have shut my eyes and I am parting with it....the photo hasn't captured the tiny dollops of red on it, in a few places, which are stunning.
Binoculars.
Rearranged the glassware, I love it all together it just looks so sparkely.
Mushroom canisters....kitch wonderfulness.

German cuckoo clock, when I was hanging him up the cuckoo bird popped out and made me jump...very funny to all around me.
Beachy table with pale blue legs.
Old laundry trolley, this one has fab old wooden wheels.

Sebel stacker chairs...they always make me hum their jingle when I see them. Does anyone else remember the sebel song? "The only thing better then a sebel showroom is how good it will look in your home."...I think that is how it went. Hope you all have a good weekend.

  1. I love glass displayed in colour groups. That table with the cute legs would be great in my studio. More room to make mess!
Have a great weekend Katherine! x

  5. Hello:
And what a wonderful, eclectic mix, most of which we should more than be happy to find a home for. The chrome yacht is, as you say, absolutely stunning.

Thank you so much for becoming a Follower of our blog which has, very happily, brought us to you. Indeed, even as we write this we are tempted to be booking a flight to Brisbane immediately. It is only an unease about flying, and 27 hours at that, which causes us to hesitate.

Whatever, we shall most certainly return.
