New Arrival

So there has been a NEW arrival at our place, and its not just new its new new. As in not old and bought from a shop that sells new things. I know who am I? Usually the only new new things in our place have to be plugged into a power socket or belong in the manchester department.
I am in love with it, even if I can't get a good shot of it. The colour is Licorice and therefore a dull black and my camera dosen't like taking pictures of black things...annoying. I purchased it after seeing it in the new Freedom furniture range. It leans heavily on mid century design, but I love the little rolled cushions and the buttons. Needless to say my family hate the little rolled cushions and the buttons...typical ha.
So as is always the case when you get something new for a room a domino effect begins. I am now dreaming of other new additions I would like...new cushions, the ones now Nan made from vintage fabric remnants and I loved them but they are from the old couch, so its time for a new look. I am also dreaming of floor rugs. So many choices in this area, I think either something shaggy/scruffy or something sleek.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

  1. Love it Katherine. I can just see a mountain of gorgeous cushions on your NEW sofa and it will be interesting to see what you choose. The possibilites are endless! The great thing about cushions is that they can be changed at your whim or just even turned around for another affect or colour. Let me know if you want me to make you one.
    Love all the pottery.

  2. I bet it smells nice! New things ... aren't they uplifting?

I love all your West German vases, and I even love the vintage cushions on the sofa.

Definitely something with some red or orange to pick up the colours in your vases.

    Exciting times!!

  4. Well I like the buttons very much! It's a timeless design and looks modern vintage at the same time.
I know about the Domino effect. Paint the fence, and now the house looks like it needs attention... it never ends. I'd rather be choosing cushions. Look forward to seeing what you get. I'm suspecting red may be on the horizon.
    Enjoy this glorious Sunday! xx

  13. Samsung has crammed its cameras with a variety of software
like Eraser, Drama Shot, Cinema Shot, Story Album, Sound Shot,
Dual-Shot and Beauty Shot. Year 2013 is essentially seen as the year that Smartphone will not only
get an improvement on their processors but their display will also be given a
much needed boost in terms of size and higher resolution with improved pixel per inch.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is, to begin with a LTE network compatible smartphone handset that is
capable of handling speeds in the range of 30 to 60 mega bytes per second.
