Tea Cup LOVE

We purchased a collection of pretty trios recently. They all look so lovely grouped together "crazy" style.
Nan lined them up in my Kitchen ready to wash and I thought they looked ready for a tea party.
Something so girly and warm about pretty china.

I had to show you these roses in my kitchen. They were given to me by my friend Catherine who has the florist at The Garden Centre. They were too open for an arrangement but Catherine, like me, hates waste so she was lovely to send them home for me to enjoy. One of the many perks of selling items at the wonderful Cottage Garden Nursery. Today is such a beautiful day. It is cool and sunny and everything looks clean and refreshed after the rainy weekend. I am finding it hard to start working. Kristen is already off on the hunt.
So I have been rearranging some pots. I love this pair that date from the 1950's. Where I had them I hardly saw them so I have moved them near my front door. Boys and dog be warned if you knock them flying ha.
Hope you all have a wonderful week.

  2. MMMC, I love my crazy paving...I am glad you love it too. Other people in my house want to concrete over it...SINNERS. I admit it is hard to push anything over and has been known to damage a toe or two.

  16. Being a tea drinker, I'm wishing I was more of a lady to use these types of cups. I like a bucket of tea. Those are the brightest and best yellow coloured roses - divine.

  22. Hi Gorgeous Kath,
I love the teacups <3 <3 I've made an executive decision for us, (thats the kind where I tell you what we are doing..haha) that when I come home, I'm bringing piccies of the house, so we can shop at the garden centre and antique centre and buy some beautiful things, with your expert help <3..
I loved your comment on Brismod Blog about the Rooneyisms.. I'd forgotton about "can I've a cutting.."haha. I'm home after the 17th. Cant wait for a girl date <3

  23. I love your tea cup sets! I have quite a few at home that belonged to my MIL and both my grandmothers. They are so special. A few weeks ago, I got them out for my SIL's birthday afternoon tea party. They are definitely worth saving for high teas!

  25. Katherine, those pots are amazing. I love the old ones. I have a few old cement ones from my Grandma and Grandad's house. Full of succulents. I adore your house too!! And those tea cups... Where has the attention to detail gone with our modern ones. Each one is a piece of art in itself. Katherine thank you too for your kind comments about Mum. She's doing really well and is managing short outings. Thankfully she has many friends at the retirement village. Mum's young to be there (she moved from a one bedroom unit in Chelmer for a life near the water and this was what she could afford). Glad you liked my Barbies. Yes, the accessories... Weren't they the best. I said to Pam at Bayside Rose, next time I'm in town I'll organise it better and organise a catch-up with a few of you lovely ladies. Would love to go to the Cottage Garden Cafe! Pruxxx
