This statue I salvaged from my Grandfathers house many years ago. I instantly loved it! It was done by my father as a young man and he never actually finished it. For this reason the man looks like to be still emerging from the stone. My father was one of those guys who could do almost everything handy and created lots of furniture etc but this man is my favourite thing he made. He sits on my front steps and my dog Asteroid, see earlier Friday Favourites, likes to rest his head on him.
