Friday favourite ~ Lace Irons

Here are three of my favourite lace irons. The one on the left started my love of these little beauties. It was my mothers as a young child. She used it for a dollies iron and her father fashioned the wire handle as it had lost its original handle. I too played with it as a child. The one on the right is my latest addition, it was my Aunties iron and she too used it for her dollies, although they are of coarse meant for ironing delicate lace and fancywork. There sentimental value make them my favourites although I have now got many more in my collection.
