Interesting bunch of stuff. Forgive my ignorance, but what was the purpose of the long arms on the squatter's chair? If I had one, I think I'd keep bumping into them.
ReplyDeleteTo the best of my knowledge they have two purposes. Firstly, when extended, it allowed you to place your lower legs up and completely relax. Secondly, I have seen the extended legs used to place drinks and food on. I'm sure that I have even seen ones in which the appropriate holes had been cut to take a glass?
