Your blogger and happily photographed second son Chauncy enjoying the sunshine on the Gold Coast. (Another story is first born son Frankie who we left in charge of the house while we were away. Ugh.)
We had a great spot on with 360 degree views of beautiful Burleigh heads and the greater Gold Coast. But inevitabley we all have to come back to earth and our first day back has been busy with ebay auctions and preparing items for our retail stalls.

I'll be watching a couple of these items. FYI that was me that bought the EOD teapot at the WAC, thanks for the great price.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had lovely weather. Just wondering the dimensions of the day bed. We're on the hunt for one for the front verandah but want it to be big enough to stretch right out on. Some are a bit too small & you have to curl up in the foetal position ... and we're not tall people!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, but Chauncy doesn't look very happy..haha. Was the house still in one piece when you got back?? Tam x
ReplyDeleteYou find some wonderful things I love the map drawers and day bed
ReplyDeleteLucky you!! That would've been a nice break. An that interesting retro chair is a Tessa, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhat lucky ducks! It looks wonderful. Some nice bits there too, the daybed, plan drawers and sideboard especially :)
ReplyDeleteThought you must have snuck away. You so deserve a beach break. Lovely photo of you two.
ReplyDeleteLove your desk and the sideboard - back to the real world huh?

It is good to get away sometimes. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Lovely pieces there Katherine. I am so tempted but am being good! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose industrial pieces! Maybe it's a good thing you live so far away. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pieces you've found ~ especially the industrial ones! Looks like you had a fantastic time away! Love Brenda
ReplyDeleteLove the industrial map drawers! How nice to have a beach break, stare at the ocean and not think about work. Frankie had fun no doubt too.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, nothing like time away. Had to laugh at the govt. desk, I'm sitting at one now, perfect size for a computer and etc. I stained it dark though.
ReplyDeleteThere's a whole swag of things I love in that lot! Love the retro chair ... it looks tessa-esque, Brismod picked it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm always thinking I'd love some architect's drawers ... too much watching the Brady Bunch. I think I'm falling in love with Mike Brady.
This is what I was really looking for. Thanks very much. Keep up this good work.

I rarely write responses, however i did some
ReplyDeletesearching and wound up here "Back from the Beach with some more auctions for ebay".
And I actually do have 2 questions for you if it's allright. Is it just me or does it look like some of these responses come across like they are coming from brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are writing on additional online sites, I'd like to follow everything new you have to post.
