Jennifer Hawkins and Frankie's Chairs

We have had a lot of items over the years appear in movies and commericals. But I thought these old metal chairs were worth a highlight.
My oldest son Frankie has "gatherings" around an old table with his mates every now and then. The latest Myer ad features Former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins dancing around a beach and near the end of the commerical, Frankie's chairs, which we hired out for a week to a local production company. As one of his mates says..."Poor Jennifer, if only she new what went on with those chairs."

Cottage Garden Nursery News Update

Feels like Spring at the Nursery....gotta love Daisies!!

Welcome John (back) and Courtney (on the coffee machine)...new owners of the cafe at the Garden Centre. John will be familiar to Garden Centre regulars but he has stepped up to owner and is making some great new menu changes. His fav on the menu is the Vegetarian Breakfast....hash browns, eggs, asparagus, spinach, avocado and tomato....YUM!! Courtney says to look out for the regular specials such as the Ribs. The coffee has been tweeked and it is soooo good! Lunch time sees the addition of pastas to the menu. All of the food, including the cakes are made on the premisies. Bookings can be made for larger groups. Coffee shop is open 7 days 7am -2pm.

Another obsession - crocheted Nana or Granny rugs....love them!

The florist always has the most beautiful arrangements. These ones are headed to an old girl's function at a nearby school and will look wonderful centrepieces.

Nursery is open 7 Days, 999 Stanley St East, East Brisbane....just before The Lord Stanley Hotel heading into the city.

Vintage Ladder LOVE

We always are attracted to old ladders. They are fun and very versatile to decorate with for the imaginative person. Probably surprisingly to many of you though they are one of the items we get the most "What do people want those old things for??" questions, when they see them leaning against the side of my house. Thought I would show you a few of my favourite....things to do with ladders of all shapes and sizes.

Pig on a Tin...
