LUCKY DIP FISHING CREEL

Whenever I find an old fishing creel and you pick it up and the weight tells you there is goodies inside you always hope there will be a rare old reel inside. Mostly you are disapointed. Rare old reels are rare hence you rarely find them. (Ha ha)

This creel pictured was heavy but when I opened it there was plastic hand reels ontop Ugh

but then underneath 3 old reels and a bakelite tackle box and one of the reels is a pretty interesting old one. Sometimes you can get lucky when you dip into a creel.

Some photos of items from inside the house as I found them, (sadly from my point of view lots had been taken away by the family) But there is still a lot of other old items I have not pictured that were under the house. The house had been in the same family since it was built in 1910.

Rare YELLOW enamel mincer

Here we have a charming lemon yellow mincer. This style aswell as the pretty yellow colour are harder to find these days. Although kitchens are now full of all modern gagdets nothing replaces the charm of these vintage kitchen, once essential, tools and they can add romance and conversation starters to even the most modern of kitchens.

Bakewells green and white little jug

Here is a lovely green and white milk jug. It is a bit smaller than you usually find. Most people are more aware of the more common blue and white bakewells. Jugs are always lovely whether you are a collector or not, they look lovely on display and are great for flower arrangements. Stripes on china seem to never go out of fashion...what is it about those stripes that make us love them so much....?
