1930s PHAR LAP era HORSE RACING picture

Sadly not of big red himself but from the year before he went to America. 1931.

The glass of the old silky oak frame they were in was broken. When I removed the glass, I found the coloured photograph of the horse behind the photograph of the race finish. The sash looks like it has Rockhampton on it on the single horse. The race finish has the "C.Q.R.A. GIFT CARNIVAL 1931" written on it.

A pair of old Giants belts ?

No just for carrying pianos.... Two huge old thick leather belts!!

These came from the same old house. I could see the remnants in the bin, of others that the family had smashed while throwing away. Such a shame...

Rare old milk bar item. Has Pauls embossed down the side(hard to see in picture). Note the little lead (very healthy) seal that would be a certified weight measure.

Sorry to those of you who clicked on this page when you were searching the words vice and mangle on google and were wanting something sexier than these old metal things. Though the vice has a great shape to it.

Interestingly I saw in a someones ebay auction a while ago that the Jug on the left, with the grecian urn like shape, was put out by David Jones in 1956 to celebrate the Melb Olympics.

Hopefully anyway as it is already past 12 and the kids will be home by 3.30 and I have not done any auctions yet.

There are (not all in picture) at least 3 outdoor or patio settings some old split cane and a painted silky oak dressing table base that would make a great hall table all done up plus a lot more.
